About
Welcome!
My name is Samantha Hill, but I go by Sam.
I'm a Kanien'keha:ka from the Six Nations of the Grand River, Turtle Clan and Romani-European mixed descendant.
I'm an artist who is interested in trying out any kind of art I can get my hands on. What you'll find here is my exploration through as many mediums as I can try. I'm pretty big on sculpting at the moment. I'm into making little creatures, and creepy little guys as I lovingly refer to them, animals, and anything else I can dream up. I paint, mostly with acrylics and watercolor, I've dabbled in woodburning (pyrography) and jewelry making.
As a mixed Indigenous artist, my goal with the majority of my art is to tell a story ‐ stories from my cultures, stories from my heart.
I love creating. I love telling these stories. So thank you for joining me on this wild journey of self discovery, story telling and exploration into art.
Nia:wen'kowa and Onen:ki'wahi!
Sam ❤️
